When you purchase something, and THEN find a coupon for that exact same thing you bought?
Shoot, coulda saved $5 on my $25 made in China motor mount.
Coupon/flyer was in the box with the part, to add insult to injury.
Well, at least the Mazda will have less creaks and vibrations after this weekend.

That’s why I always check RetailMeNot before I buy stuff from RockAuto. :)

I hate that so much, but not as much as when I had the coupon and forgot to use it. I hate that even more.

This is sub-RockAuto quality parts. No one sells the mount WITH the bracket except shady Amazon and eBay sellers. This one has a “Lifetime Warranty” too. Can’t wait to test that.

hey now, Rock Auto has good parts....if you buy the name brands on there. lol

My cheapo generic brand rotors and ceramic pads from RA haven’t quit yet, so I’d agree on the good parts front...I just, can’t imagine even cheaper made parts. xD

Well I bought mainly Moog and Monroe parts from them (2 dorman, all they had for that part). And it was a hefty discount vs anyone else. Even when trying to beat out Rock Auto by using discount codes.

Mazda motor mount! I swapped mine out when I went to “test” the mount by pushing on the top where the oil reservoir is. The whole top peeled off, bone dry. Once I got it out I found that the entire mount was destroyed, which is why I’m doing all the other mounts as well. I only bought the insert, I’d recommend going the route you did by getting the whole thing, much easier.

I knew it was leaking when I bought the car, but since there were no ill effects I waited. Now it creaks and groans under accel, bucks when I let off the gas, and I’m pretty sure its causing my intermittent vibration at 45mph. Maybe. We’ll see.
I wasn’t about to mess with the insert when for a few bucks more I could get the whole thing.... didn’t even know I could. Back when I worked at Mazda it was the whole OEM mount for $100+, or aftermarket inserts for ~$50.

When I replaced mine just a few months ago I didn’t even think to get the whole mount. After seeing the state it was in and with two road trips coming up I decided to just replace the others since they probably need it.
I also just pick up another drivers side half shaft today, I go through those like crazy. This one lasted six months before coating my wheel well/transmission in grease. Trying a different brand this time.
